River von Rondell is a handsome, 10-month-old, sable German Shepherd. With his show-stopping good looks, it is no wonder that passersby often do a double take. River is medium-to-high energy and walks great on leash. He loves to explore and is very scent-driven, but walks confidently and is alert to his surroundings. Playful River loves making new friends: canines and humans alike. When meeting a new volunteer, he sometimes jumps up excitedly to give them hugs, but quickly backs down when corrected. River loves to be rubbed and tickled everywhere, and will reward your attention with plenty of sweet doggie kisses. In playgroups, River wags so hard you are afraid his tail will fall off, and he never rejects an invitation to play. With his wonderful temperament, he is even able to put his confidence aside and become more submissive with pushy dogs. River would be an excellent addition to any active family who would shower him with affection.
